Set a gift date and a recording deadline
Choose when to give the card, then leave time before that date to check the recordings. Adapt your invitation for teacher appreciation, the end of the school year, or a teacher who is leaving.
A customer of Yosegoe, our Japanese service, collected messages for a preschool teacher in four days using a parent group chat. Families who had moved away or were abroad could join too. That is one customer’s experience, not a promised turnaround time.
- Tell parents who the gift is for and who will hear the recordings.
- Set a recording deadline before the day you plan to deliver the gift.
- An adult organizer creates and completes the card. Parents or guardians help children record.

A message to send to parents
Class invitation
We’re collecting the children’s voices to say thank you to [teacher’s name]. Please help your child record a few words by [date, time and time zone]: [recording link] A favorite memory or a simple “Thank you!” is enough. There is no video to film, and photos are optional. No app or contributor account is needed. The audio card is free to collect and deliver. I’ll review the recordings and give the card to [teacher’s name] on [gift date]. Please take part only if you and your child are comfortable sharing their recording and any photo with the recipient.

Make it easy to take part at home
Voice recording means there is no outfit or room background to prepare. An adult can handle the phone while the child talks at a time that suits them.
A short greeting or a shy little voice is welcome. Avoid rushing children or asking for repeated takes to get a polished result.
- Let each family record when it suits them.
- Keep the link and deadline together in your message to avoid extra group notifications.
- If they would like to join, families who are away or whose children are absent can use the same recording link.

Review the card and give it to the teacher
After the deadline, the organizer checks the voices and completes the card. Send the listening link to the teacher; it is different from the link used to invite recordings.
The audio card is free to deliver. Turning the voices and photos into a downloadable video with background music is optional and paid. Parents can contribute to the free card without committing to a paid class gift.
Agree with parents where recordings and photos will be shared. Participating in the gift does not by itself mean agreeing to publication on social media or a public school website.
